BIGGER PROBLEMS
(Chapter I)

Bigger Problems is a photography and testimony-based project that explores the visual language of invisible illness, using Breast Implant Illness (BII) as a point of departure.

Through carefully staged images, symbolic objects, and dense compositions, the project seeks to represent forms of pain that resist diagnosis and visibility. Rather than illustrating symptoms, the photographs create an atmosphere—gestures, textures, and rituals that evoke the emotional and physical toll of being unheard. Paired with personal testimonies, the work challenges medical and cultural narratives around health, beauty, and belief.
